AQIP (Academic Quality Improvement Program) Category discussions
There are nine Quality Categories that AQIP describes as being essential components of every effective institution of higher education.
Please note for each AQIP catergory there is an Overview Section - these sections were previously included as context questions in the original System Portfolio These categories are: (facilitators of conversations)
1. Helping Students Learn (Jim Bias & Mark Shipman)
2. Accomplishing Other Distinctive Objectives (Cathie Oshiro)
3. Understanding Students and Other Stakeholders Needs (Todd Moore)
4. Valuing People (Julie Knoblich)
5. Leading and Communicating (Carl Heilman)
6. Supporting Institutional Operations (Charles Perkins)
7. Measuring Effectiveness (Caicey Crutcher & Bert Besthorn)
8. Planning Continuous Improvement (Gene Kingslien & Jim Bias)
9. Building Collaborative Relationships (Myrna Perkins & Todd Moore)
These 9 items will be the focus of the systems portfolio that the college will be submitting to the Higher Learning Commission as part of our accreditation process. The systems portfolio will also contain an overview.
